Plainfield Freedom acquires their new Home!
After much discussion with the Plainfield Park District, the Plainfield Freedom Soccer Club has a place call "Home". The Kensington Fields are located just behind Target on Rt. 59 and 127th street in Plainfield. After surveying the land, members from the club spent much of the day on March 27th readying the fields for games as well as practices. The ground was aerated and topsoil was added to fill in holes in low lying areas. All areas were fertilized and finally the land was rolled. We are proud to call the Kensington Fields our home and will continue to take care of the fields.
With help from Plainfield Park district we were able to accommodate three fields for all ages of competitive play, as well as a smaller field for 3v3 teams. The club donated two goals and nets. The Park District set up the goals and made sure they are safe to play. They also provided us with trash receptacles and portable restrooms. A Special "Thanks" to Target for allowing us to use their south parking lot for overflow parking. See our Parking Map for more information.
